Learner focused
classroom simulations
I like creating things for my students, especially when it makes them more engaged in their learning. That's why I started making simulations based on topics covered in my classroom.
My simulations started simple: paper, maps, and a whiteboard. But I was always looking for the next thing that could improve student engagement, something we all struggle with throughout our careers.
I noticed that every time I ran a classroom game, my students became engaged and competitive, and apathy was set aside in favour of “winning,” which really was just learning in disguise.
I plan on creating more simulations, especially ones focused on the social studies classroom.

The Sims
Each sim covers a specific topic from the social studies classroom. I have a love for learning history, and chances are the sims will reflect that.
I’m also open to suggestions and feedback. Especially feedback from teachers and students that have used one of my sims.

Bull vs Bear
A stockmarket simulator that covers 1900 to 1945. Events include the crash of 1929 and the New Deal.
Explore simulationThe Scramble for Africa
An empire building simulator where students recreate the European scramble for Africa of the late 1800s.
Explore simulationMinutes to Midnight
A Cold War simulator where teams run proxy wars, alliances and the arms race, trying to keep the nuclear clock from reaching midnight.
Explore simulationA little support for the next classroom adventure.
Suggestions? Feedback?
I’m especially interested in hearing from teachers and students who have used one of my sims.
